A couple weeks ago I begged for someone – anyone – to nominate me for an Okie Blog Award. I thought it would be fun to see my name at least be in the nominated blogs listing. Everyone needs a little validation now and again, and I am – admittedly so – no different in that respect.

And, what do I see today when the finalists are announced? MY BLOG! As a finalist!!

I am shocked and excited (and hopeful that I will at least receive a vote or two).
